Originally debuting in the Sony Playstation Gran Turismo game, Toyota has brought to reality their Toyota FT-1 Concept, and she looks spectacular.  Originally designed by Calty Design Research, the model pays tribute to Toyota’s sports car past, with some of the key design influences taken from the Supra and Celica.  It’s described as “an aggressive and track-focused sports car concept with a presence that has been amplified for shock and awe”, and it’s part of Toyota’s new strategy to create vehicles that better connect with consumers.  Design highlights include a curved yet muscular body form, numerous ducts and vents to optimize airflow, a retractable rear wing and dramatic fenders.  Hopefully, it’s also a small preview as to what we can expect from the next Supra.  Check the gallery to see more of the Toyota FT-1 Concept in all its majesty.
