Independent English watchmaker Schofield has introduced a handsome and very limited edition Blacklamp Carbon Watch ($16,150).  Limited in number to only 101 pieces, the Blacklamp Carbon’s hallmark feature is its incredibly unique case, crafted from a proprietary matrix of carbon fiber called Morta.  This Morta is hand-laid and formed into small billets, with each watch case crafted from a single billet and boasting a subtly unique design.  Highlighting the individuality of each watch, each Blacklamp Carbon is named after an English lighthouse, with the common bond of each being their movement:  a customized Unitas 6497-2 movement decorated with broad Geneva stripes and heavy rhodium plating.  Other features shared by each Blacklamp include a Tritium gas light within the crown and a Moonglow ring around the dial.   If you want one, you can order directly via the Schofield website, with delivery expected by Christmas.
