It’s been over 50 years since Persol 714 sunglasses were introduced – sunglasses made famous when they were worn by the legendary Steve McQueen. Paying homage to the man that cemented their place in style history, Persol has re-released a special Persol 714 Steve McQueen Edition ($400), with the most notable difference between the standard Persol 714 and the Persol714SM being the inward folding hinges that serve to highlight Persol’s double arrow. As you can probably guess, it’s the same design McQueen popularized back in the ’60’s. Also worth noting is the Persol 714SM’s inclusion of a special leather case and Steve McQueen outer box, further adding to the uniqueness of the set. As with their previous release, if you want a pair, you better as quick, as supplies (again) are limited.
