Patagonia and New Belgium Brewing team up to create California Route Organic Lager, a tawny, medium bodied and malty beer that serves to commemorate Patagonia’s 40 year anniversary
When your company turns 40, is there really any better way to celebrate than by creating a custom beer to commemorate the occasion? I didn’t think so. And that’s exactly what outdoor gear purveyor Patagonia has done, creating a limited edition lager with New Belgium Brewing. Entitled California Route Organic Lager, the new beer is described as tawny in color, medium bodied, with a malty character and earthy hops. And in keeping with Patagonia’s commitment to using organic cotton, California Route Lager is brewed with certified organic ingredients. Because it’s a limited edition run, it’s going to be hard to get, but you can look for California Route Lager at your local Patagonia retail store.
