The Opinel Etched Oak Knife ($24) lets you mix your love of wildlife with the functionality of a folding knife. Invented by Joseph Opinel in 1890 in Savoie, France, the Opinel folding knife was designed as a simple workers tool, and proved popular with local farmers, herdsmen and winemakers of the region. It was so popular, in fact, that Opinel still exists today as a family run company, and they still create the same knife they created more than 120 years ago.

Mix your love of wildlife with the functionality of an Opinel folder with this handsome Etched Oak Knife ($24). This one, in particular, is one of our favorites, as its oak handle is adorned with etchings of either a trout, hunting dog or deer.  At 4 3/8″ closed, the Etched Oak Knife works beautifully as a pocket knife, while its Sandvik stainless clip blade and safety ring blade lock ensure reliable, trouble free cutting.
