Nikon’s 1 Series compact mirrorless camera just got an upgrade, in the form of the Nikon 1 V3. The camera sports a new 18.4MP 1″-type CMOS sensor without an AA filter along with on-chip phase detection that covers nearly 100% of the frame. When paired with Nion’s Expeed 4A processor, the V3 shoots at 20 fps with continuous AF and 60 fps with single AF. More notables include a twin dial control, manual exposure control, 1080/60p video, a tilting 3-inch touchscreen LCD and built-in Wi-Fi. An electronic viewfinder is now optional, as is an extra grip complete with an additional shutter release button, custom button, and control dial.
Pricing in the U.S. for the Nikon 1 V3 will be $1,199.95, and it will come bundled with the new 10-30mm PD-Zoom lens, grip, and EVF for $1199.95.
