Set to be unveiled this January at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, here’s your first look at the MINI John Cooper Works Concept in advance of its official launch. The concept follows MINI’s introduction of their third-generation MINI models, with this John Cooper variant likely to arrive sometime later in 2014 as a more performance oriented option. Design highlights of the MINI John Cooper Works include a unique grey paint scheme with red accents, new 18-inch alloy wheels, bigger air intakes, a black surround on the front grill, sculpted side skirts and a rear apron with new diffuser; while power is rumored to be provided by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo with an output sitting somewhere around the 217 bhp mark.
