Mercedes-Benz revealed their competitor for the BMW X6 at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show, the sleek SUV is currently being dubbed the Concept Coupé SUV. Painted in Alu Beam, as a throwback to the 30s and 50s Silver Arrows, the overall shape of the body blends the shape of an SUV with the sportiness of a coupe.The coupe SUV has been fitted with a permanent 4MATIC all-wheel drive system that works with a nine-speed automatic transmission and torque convertor lock-up.
Power to the Mercedes concept comes from a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine rated at 333 PS (245 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque available between 1,400 and 4,000 rpm. The concept uses a double wishbone front combined with a multi-link rear setup and benefits from an air suspension with selective damping and an Active Curve System as seen on the S-Class Coupe.
