MakerBot Replicator Mini

If you’re new to 3D printing, the price of admission just got cheaper, as MakerBot has unleashed the MakerBot Replicator Mini ($1,375).  It’s a smaller, easier-to-use version of the larger MakerBot models, powered by MakerBot’s new Replicator platform and featuring quick one-touch printing.  As for how the printing process works, you start by either creating a model with the free MakerBot Printshop app or purchasing one from the MakerBot digital store (you can also create models from existing objects using MakerBot’s Digitizer 3D scanner).  From there, you send your model wirelessly to the MakerBot, press the print button, and you’re done.  The MakerBot prints in 200 micron layer resolution, and the result is professional, complex models that almost anyone can create.
