Jony Ive

Whether you reside in the camp of Apple or are more of a Microsoft/Android kind of guy, there’s no denying that Apple single-handedly ushered us into the future with the launch of the iPhone and iPad.  And while the heart and soul of Apple was the one and only Steve Jobs, he did have help, namely from one Jony Ive.  A new book entitle Jony Ive: The Genius Behind Apple’s Greatest Products by Leander Kahney seeks to shed some light on the lesser known Apple talent, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at Ives’ schooling, his early interest in industrial design, and later the principles and practices he developed to become arguably the most influential designer of his generation.  At $16, it should be a great read for anyone passionate about design.
