Dutchtub Wood Fired Hot Tub

Words RandySavage | 12.13.2013
The Dutchtub Wood Fired Hot Tub ($8,500) notes a design similar to that of a traditional hot tub, crafted from preserved wood and glass fiber polyester with seating for 4-5 people. Where it differs is in its power source. To get things steamy, an integrated fire basket allows you to burn wood to create heat, which in turn powers the attached spiral and the water inside.

Wood is something that’s typically in ample abundance in a hot tub; now you can use it to actually power your hot tub in the form of the Dutchtub Wood Fired Hot Tub ($8,500).  Noting a design similar to that of a traditional hot tub, the Dutchtub  is crafted from preserved wood and glass fiber polyester with seating for 4-5 people.  Where it differs is in its power source.  To get things steamy, an integrated fire basket allows you to burn wood to create heat, which in turn powers the attached spiral and the water inside.  As the water heats, it rises and enters the tub, while the cold water at the bottom of the tub flows into the spiral, naturally circulating the water.  There’s also a fiberglass cover to keep things clean and a turbo valve for faster heating.  As long as you bring enough wood, you can keep the Dutchtub hot all night long.

Price: $8,500
