2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

You gotta love American muscle, and it doesn’t get much better than the Chevy Corvette Z06.  Today, Chevrolet is introducing the newest incarnation of the model, in the form of the 2015 Corvette Stingray Z06.  And she’s a beauty.  Chevy calls it the closest link ever between Le Mans racing Corvettes and actual production models, and the stats back it up:  a 6.2L aluminum V8 engine delivering at least 625 hp and 635 lb. ft. of torque.  Your choice of a seven-speed manual or paddle-shift eight-speed automatic transmission.  Wider fender flares to accommodate larger wheels and tires.  An increase of 80 mm in the rear and 56 mm up front for better handling.  A new aerodynamics package to deliver three levels of aerodynamic downforce.  And for the first time ever, a removable carbon fiber roof panel.  There’s more, but you get the idea.  And when you add it all up, you’ve got one of the most wickedly sweet Corvettes ever built.
