The 2014 Lucra L148 seeks to add an air of luxury to their previously performance oriented lineup. It’s built on a one-piece aerodynamically tuned carbon-fiber body and tubular chromoly steel chassis, it’s powered by a front/mid-mounted 4.7 liter GM LS7 V8 engine (capable of outputting just over 500hp), and unlike its sibling, it features amenities such as a roof, air conditioning, GPS nav and more.

Can America build a supercar?  That’s the question boutique automaker Lucra has set out to answer, and if their initial pre-production vehicle is any indication, the answer is a resounding “yes”.  Building on their minimalistic, purely for performance LC470 (a car capable of hitting 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and slaying the quarter mile in 9.1 seconds), the 2014 Lucra L148 seeks to add an air of luxury to their previously performance oriented lineup. Look for the 2014 Lucra L148 to hit roads mid-2014, with pricing around the $250K mark.
