If you’ve ever wondered what one of the most gorgeous Ferrari’s ever created looks like, you’re witnessing it.  It’s a 1964 Ferrari 250 LM by Carrozzeria Scaglietti, and it’s one of the finest examples of a Ferrari’s first mid-engined design still in existence.  This particular Ferrari 250 LM began life in California as a daily driver before entering the racing world 1968, when it was purchased by two Ecuadorean drivers and modified for racing in the “Sports” Class endurance category.  The two entered the ’64 Ferrari 250 LM into the 24 Hours of Daytona, where it finished 1st in its class and 8th overall.  It later went on to compete in numerous racing events over the next decade before finding a home with a Japanese collector in 1983.  Now it’s hitting the auction block, with this particular Ferrari 250 LM to have as few as 10,000 original miles on its fully matching-numbers driveline.  The price:  a staggering $12 – $15 million (est).
